Ethea Solutions is proud to partner with a high-growth AI-powered SaaS provider helping financial institutions and fintechs modernize risk and compliance operations.

We are hiring a Country Sales Leader to spearhead new business growth in Malaysia, targeting banks, fintechs, digital lenders, and payment platforms. This is a high-visibility individual contributor role, reporting directly to the CRO, with the potential to build and lead a local sales team as the company scales.


About the Role

As Country Sales Leader, you’ll be responsible for the full sales cycle across the Malaysian market — identifying and closing new enterprise deals, building a high-quality pipeline, and cultivating strategic relationships across the BFSI, FinTech and Payments sector.

While the initial focus is domestic, you may also support select opportunities across Southeast Asia. This is a critical role for a consultative seller who thrives in early-stage environments and is excited about driving adoption of AI-driven RegTech solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the end-to-end sales process: prospecting, discovery, solution mapping, proposal, and close.
  • Target key decision-makers in banks, fintechs, and payment providers — typically in compliance, risk, innovation, and technology teams.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline through outbound prospecting, channel collaboration, and events.
  • Work closely with pre-sales, marketing, product, and executive stakeholders to craft tailored solutions.
  • Represent the business at in-country industry events, customer meetings, and strategic briefings.
  • Report directly to the CRO and collaborate on strategic GTM efforts across the region.
  • Contribute to early-stage sales infrastructure development — CRM discipline, forecasting, outreach strategy, etc.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for one of the most innovative names in AI for financial crime prevention.

Ideal Candidate

  • 8+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, ideally with exposure to KYC, AML, fraud detection, RegTech, or adjacent sectors.
  • Strong experience selling into BFSI, fintech, or payments verticals in Malaysia.
    Experienced of working within an Enterprise Sales environment, using methodologies such as MEDDPICC or BANT.
  • Proven experience of closing multi-year SaaS deals of $100k USD+ ARR
  • Proven success closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals and managing long sales cycles.
  • Confident working as a sole contributor with the potential to grow into a country manager role.
  • Strong network and ‘rolodex’ of key decision makers in banks and FinTech businesses locally.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Comfortable navigating both local banks and digital-native fintechs.
  • Fluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia is a plus.
